I love mi G1 but the battery dies real quick

Is anyone else experiencing difficulties? Or does anyone know what i can do to fix it? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

i suggest doing a factory wipe of your phone.

1. Power off the G1
2. Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1"
3. Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W
4. Restored!

this will delete everything on your phone,but you will stil have 1.6 donut.

but be sure to download atrackdog first

atrackdog app will back up a list of installed apps onto your sd card so u can refer back to it later. and also will check for app updates.

plus download appmanager
this will save your apps to sd card so u can install it from there. except for protected apps

I have t-mobile and i currently have the g1. i absolutely love it. the fact that its touchscreen and has so many aps. its really fun. but l8tly ive been wanting to try a blackberry. ive never had one before and i think i would like to try to downsize on phones. im 16 so im big on aps and what not but i never really use them. other than texting on my g1, going on the internet (and bairly) and making calls, i never really use the applications. i really like the new blackberry curve 8520 from t-mobile and i think im going to switch, but im still not sure. if i don’t do the blackberry, then im not going to get another phone. my friends tell me to get the new my touch but its EXACTLY like the g1. the only differnce is that its not as bulky and doesn’t have a keyboard. and to be honest i like the full keyboard rather than completely touchscreen. any comments? or recomendations for me as a first time possible blackberry user?

the thing is.. the blackberry 8520 doesnt support tmobile 3g. only edge speeds. so your internet will be slow for the blackberry. the g1 does suport 3g

and the mytouch is not exactly the sme as the g1. the big difference is that it full touchscreen, no physical keyboard, trackball lights up, DOUBLE THE INTERAL MEMORY (g1=256mb of ROM mem, mytouch= 512mb of ROM mem) and i think you get a 4 gig sd card with it, the g1 came with a 1 gig.

but if you root your phone and load up a custom rom like i did, then internal memory is not a problem. and the phone runs a lot faster.

the blackberry 8520 is however a mroe business-centric phone and lacks the BB market. the 8520 is certainly a downgrade.

OR u can wait for the motorola cliq to come ut. preordering start oct 19th. the sooner u preorder, the sooner you will get it. official sales in tmobile stores start nov 2nd for the cliq.

I have had my g1 phone for a while now but i have never bought an app. So i was just wondering if i buy an app in the android market is it a monthly charge or a one time charge. For instance if i were to buy the better keyboard app for 2.99 is that 2.99 a month or just a flat 2.99

its def just a flat 2.99 but most every app on there that costs, theres one just like it thats free. save ur money dude.

This deals seems very suited to my needs; bearing in mind that I have a keen interest in the Iphone however the price is very costly so it makes sense that I get the G1 with all its capabilities along with a Ipod Touch which has the main features that I wanted I.E Ipod, Apps

I got a g1 yesterday, I got no free iPod touch, but I have one already! I got free phone and 800mins, unlimited text, unlimited web for £30 a month! The deals on t-mobile really do blow o2 out of the water! The g1 itself is brilliant, after about 20mins I was off, really easy to use and it performed every task very well! Recommend the phone, recommend the plan and getting a free itouch just takes it from good to amazing! Hope this helps!
